AspirePress Exists to be a community of individuals focused on helping WordPress become the platform we all aspire for it to be.
Who are we?
We are open-source maintainers, business owners and dedicated community volunteers.
What do we do?
We develop packages, plugins and tools for WordPress. Our source code is published on GitHub.
What licenses do we use?
Licensing is an important aspect of the work we do, without the proper license our work cannot flourish in the WordPress ecosystem. Please see below for a breakdown of our licensing.
- Plugin and Component Licensing
- Plugins, components and any tools that interact directly with WordPress by calling into the WordPress code base are licensed under the GPL v2 or GPL v3 licenses.
- Components that are used by WordPress but are not specifically limited to use in WordPress may be licensed under the MIT license.
- Tools and Libraries
- For tools and libraries we release that are intended to be standalone and not interact with GPL-licensed code, we release the code under two licenses:
- For code that may be used freely without restrictions, we will utilize the MIT license.
- For code with restrictions, it may be licensed under a modified version of the MIT license that provides for restrictions.
